The Role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer (f/m/d) who thrives on solving complex challenges with clean, scalable code. You'll help design and implement the core systems that that make real-world medical data accessible, secure, and meaningful for research and care alike.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that power our data and AI infrastructure

• Build AI-powered data processing pipelines using LLMs

• Work closely with frontend, data, and product teams to deliver seamless integrations

• Design systems for scalability, reliability, and compliance with medical data standards

• Help automate deployment, monitoring, and security pipelines

What You Bring

• Solid experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and testing frameworks

• Understanding of PostgreSQL, cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

• Experience with serverless architecture patterns, and containerized applications (Docker)

• Experience with LLM/AI integration (OpenAI, Vertex AI, prompt engineering)

• Experience with CI/CD tools

• A collaborative, proactive mindset and strong communication skills, with fluency in English

Nice to Have

• Experience working on med-tech software product and/or medical data

• Familiarity with FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED, or other healthcare data standards

• Experience with authentication/identity management tools

• Experience in Kubernetes
