Why This Role Matters
TL;DR – We’re looking for a seasoned Head of Product to own ecoplanet’s product vision, strategy, and execution. As a leadership hire, you’ll build and lead our product team, act as a strategic sparring partner to our founders, and drive the evolution of our energy management platform. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you shape what we build, how we build it, and why it matters.
What you’ll be doing:
Own and continuously evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap – translating company goals and market insights into a clear, prioritized plan
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing product team through coaching, prioritization, and enablement
Drive product-led growth: own key SaaS metrics including activation, engagement, retention, and expansion revenue
Partner with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure seamless execution and go-to-market alignment
Deeply understand our customers’ energy management challenges and translate insights into compelling product solutions
Define, track, and act on the KPIs that matter – translating data into clear decisions and trade-offs
Act as a strategic sparring partner to our founders, clearly communicating vision, progress, and priorities
Embed a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision making across the product organization
What Sets You Up for Success
Skills, knowledge, and expertise
Must-haves:
Deep product leadership experience: At least 5–7 years in product management, with the majority in B2B SaaS companies. Proven track record of shipping products that customers love and that drive business results.
SaaS expertise: In-depth knowledge of SaaS dynamics including retention mechanics, product-led growth (PLG), pricing and packaging, and the full customer lifecycle.
Early-stage startup background: You’ve thrived in early-stage or high-growth startup environments and understand the pace, ambiguity, and resourcefulness required to build from zero to one.
Team builder: Proven experience building and managing product teams. You lead with empathy, set high standards, and create an environment where people do their best work.
Strategic & analytical mindset: You combine strong strategic instincts with a rigorous, data-driven approach to decision making. Comfortable with ambiguity, able to prioritize ruthlessly.
Exceptional communicator: You articulate product vision with clarity and conviction, and rally cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders around shared goals.
Strong Plus / Highly Relevant:
Energy sector knowledge: Familiarity with the energy market, energy management, or sustainability-related industries
AI-native product thinking: Hands-on interest in and experience with integrating AI into product experiences
B2B / industrial / Mittelstand exposure: Experience working with industrial customers or mid-market companies – or a very fast learner
