About the Role
FMC is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Application Engineer (Memory) to lead customer engagement and technical enablement for our DRAM+ and CACHE+ memory technologies. You will operate at the intersection of customers, product management, and R&D, acting as the primary technical interface and shaping how our memory solutions are evaluated, integrated, and deployed in real systems.
Location: On-site in Dresden
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical interface for customers evaluating and deploying DRAM+ and CACHE+ solutions.
- Lead product evaluations with internal and external customers, including power and performance characterization and technical reviews.
- Provide product‑level guidance on system integration, configuration, and optimization of memory solutions.
- Design, build, and scale a technical enablement environment, including evaluation workflows, reference platforms, tools, documentation, and best practices for customers and internal teams.
- Support proof‑of‑concept(POC) activities, design‑ins, and early production ramps.
- Create and maintain application notes, technical collateral, and customer‑facing presentations.
- Provide technical support to sales and business development, including customer workshops and deep‑dive technical sessions.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience in memory technologies, embedded systems, or similar domains.
- Experience in a customer‑facing technical role (e.g. applications engineering, field engineering, or technical support).
- Programming and scripting experience in Python for automation, analysis, and evaluation workflows; experience with C/C++ for embedded systems, firmware interaction, or low‑level platform bring‑up is a plus.
- Hands‑on laboratory skills and proficiency with standard lab equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, etc.).
- Experience building evaluation platforms, reference designs, or development kits.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple parallel activities and work effectively in cross‑functional, global teams.
