We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability & Qualification Engineer to help build a newly formed Reliability and Qualification group within our Industrialization organization. Reporting directly to the COO, you will work closely with Product Engineering and Test Engineering to industrialize new memory products and ensure they meet rigorous reliability, quality, and lifetime requirements before high‑volume manufacturing.
About the Role: In this role, you will own the reliability and qualification strategy for new memory products, from defining qualification plans to interpreting stress test results and lifetime projections. You will collaborate with design, process integration, yield, and failure analysis teams to understand root causes, mitigate failure mechanisms, and secure product readiness for demanding customer applications.
Ideal fit
- Solid experience working with JEDEC and other relevant semiconductor reliability/qualification standards.
- Proven track record in planning and leading Memory reliability test campaigns (e.g. HTOL, HTS, TDDB, EM, endurance, ESD, or similar stress tests).
- 10+ years of experience leading technical teams, with responsibility for execution quality and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate reliability testing campaigns (HTOL, HTS, TDDB, EM, endurance, ESD and related stress tests).
- Develop and execute qualification plans in line with JEDEC and other relevant industry standards.
- Provide reliability insights and recommendations to process integration and device design teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Correlate reliability results with fab process parameters and design sensitivities, and support failure analysis experiments.
- Perform statistical analysis, modeling, and lifetime projection based on reliability data.
- Own documentation, reporting, and certification for reliability and qualification activities.
Qualification & Required Skills:
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Physics, Materials, or related discipline).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in reliability, testing, or quality, preferably in the semiconductor memory field.
- Solid knowledge of semiconductor failure mechanisms and lifetime extrapolation models.
- Hands‑on experience with memory testing at wafer and/or package level, including use of probers and related lab equipment.
- Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and derive clear, actionable conclusions.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation for test environments is an advantage.
- International experience and cross‑cultural fluency strongly preferred.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
Preferred experience
- Previous DDR or other memory interface experience is a significant advantage.
- Experience with 2.5D/3D IC design and packaging is highly valued.
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills, with the ability to tackle complex cross‑domain issues.
- Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary, international teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong interest in working in a start‑up environment, with high ownership, adaptability, and a hands‑on mindset.
