Senior Project Geologist – Munich (Full-time, on-site)

Hades Mining is building the world’s first tech-enabled extraction company. Our first core technology is laser drilling, designed to make drilling materially faster, cheaper, and more environmentally compatible. We are now building a pipeline of high-quality extraction opportunities in Europe and beyond.

We are hiring a Senior Geologist to help us find, screen, and evaluate new projects. You will be part of a cross-functional team working closely with engineering, regulatory, and finance to turn early data into clear technical and economic decisions.

What you will do

• Source and evaluate extraction opportunities (critical minerals + energy)

• Build first-pass geological models and a clear view on deposit type, controls, risks, and upside

• Review and interpret datasets (historic reports, drill logs, assays, geophysics, maps, core photos, QP-style summaries)

• Define and drive early-stage diligence: data room requests, gap analysis, work programs, sampling/drilling concepts

• Translate geology into decision-ready outputs for investment and partnership decisions

• Work with regulatory and finance to assess permitting feasibility, timelines, and economic sensitivity

• Support partner conversations with a strong technical point of view (operators, agencies, consultants, academics)

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years experience in economic geology, exploration, resource evaluation, mining due diligence, or consulting

• Strong intuition for deposit types, exploration strategies, and what makes a project viable (or not)

• Comfortable working with imperfect data and high ambiguity, moving fast without lowering quality

• Strong written communication: you can produce crisp memos and explain uncertainty clearly

• Hands-on mindset, high ownership, and excitement for building from zero in a deep-tech startup

• Based in Munich or willing to relocate (on-site collaboration is important)

Nice to have

• Experience with European geology, permitting environments, or brownfield datasets

• Exposure to resource estimation workflows (JORC/NI 43-101 style thinking), geostatistics, or 3D modeling tools

• Background in ISR projects, geothermal subsurface, or project finance interfaces

What you get

• A central role in building the project pipeline of a venture-backed deep-tech company

• Direct work with founders and senior operators across engineering, finance, and regulatory

• High autonomy, steep learning curve, and real impact from day one

• Competitive compensation (salary + meaningful upside)
