Mission Brief
You will design, implement, and continuously improve internal production and warehouse logistics across our manufacturing sites. This includes developing logistics concepts, coordinating site moves, optimizing key processes, and leading Lean initiatives. As SAP EWM Key User, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and ongoing process enhancements.
Working closely with the Manager of Internal Logistics, you’ll help refine and advance departmental processes for strategic alignment and integration.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
New Factory Setup & Moves
- Analyse current logistics processes and design concepts for material flow, inventory management, and internal layouts
- Plan and coordinate site moves, including inventory transfer and stakeholder alignment
- Lead selection and implementation of warehouse and transport systems
- Own and optimize key SAP EWM processes, including putaway, replenishment, production consumption, picking, and inventory management
- Standardize and document logistics processes for current and future sites
Ongoing Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Optimize daily logistics and SAP EWM-enabled processes to ensure high performance and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics flows, automation, and process efficiency
- Support logistics teams through training, process standardization, and best practice sharing
- Monitor and improve performance metrics such as accuracy, productivity, and safety
- Oversee integration and testing of logistics IT systems
Qualification Checklist
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing intralogistics, including process design and implementation in a series production environment; plant/warehouse move experience preferred
- Background in automotive manufacturing environments
- Strong hands-on SAP EWM Key User experience; S/4 HANA knowledge a plus
- Skilled in Lean logistics tools (VSM, PFEP, Kanban, supermarket sizing, inbound flows, visual management)
- Proven project leadership and stakeholder management abilities
- Expertise in selecting and procuring warehouse/transport systems (manual to automated)
- Experience with logistics IT systems integration/testing (WMS, yard management, scanners/printers)
- Advanced Excel and analytics skills; VSM, CAD, or simulation experience beneficial
- Proficient in process documentation and work instruction drafting
- Fluent in German and English
