Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Expert Plant Modelling and Simulation Engineer with strong expertise in plant models validation. Should be able to create, validate, and maintain plant models that enable closed-loop simulation and reliable verification of control software across MIL/SIL/HIL stages.

Keywords: Plant modelling, Simscape, Simulation Engineer, SIL Testing, FMI, FMU, Simcenter, (drivetrain, hydraulics, thermal, chassis, operator environment).

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop 1D/multi-physics plant models for target subsystems (drivetrain, hydraulics, thermal, chassis, operator environment).

· Calibrate and validate models using available data; quantify fidelity and limitations.

· Provide well-defined interfaces for controller integration (signals, buses, FMI/FMU where used).

· Create representative operating scenarios and reference datasets for regression testing.

· Support solver, performance, and real-time considerations for SIL/HIL deployment.

· Experience in modelling/simulation for off-highway or automotive domains.

Must Have Skills & Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

· Experience: Minimum 5 years in plant modelling and simulation.

· Multi-domain physical modeling (hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, thermal).

· Strong MATLAB/Simulink integration and data analysis skills.

· Experience with Simscape and/or Amesim; model reduction and parameter management.

· Understanding of verification needs (closed-loop stability, test scenario design).

· Clear documentation and model governance practices.

Good to Have Skills:

· Simscape, Simcenter Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink.

· FMI/FMU toolchain and co-simulation interfaces.

· Data handling and visualization in MATLAB.

Soft Skills:

· Strong communication and documentation skills.

· Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

· Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
