About the role:

As a GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable solutions. Leveraging your expertise in Google Cloud Platform and DevOps practices, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance performance, ensure seamless integration, and drive technological advancements aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop scalable architecture solutions using GCP and DevOps to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Oversee the implementation of best practices in software development to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Conduct assessments of existing systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Lead efforts to integrate new technologies and tools that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop documentation for architectural designs and technical specifications to support knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to proactively address potential issues.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions that drive value and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in Transportation & Logistics.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and contribute to strategic planning with technical insights.

Work model:

At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, while supporting a healthy work-life balance through our wellbeing programs. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in Alpharetta, GA.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Extensive experience in Web API, Azure App Service, .NET Core, and Visual Studio.
  • Deep understanding of the Transportation & Logistics domain and ability to apply industry-specific knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing system inefficiencies.
  • Focus on delivering high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

These will help you stand out:

  • Hands-on experience leading workshops and training sessions on new technologies.
  • Proven ability to integrate emerging tools that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a track record of mentoring team members.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 - $152,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
