Senior Full Stack Developer (Angular) Hybrid
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with 8+ years of experience in this role. You will make an impact by designing and developing high-quality software solutions that drive business success. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and development of scalable software applications using Spring Boot, Java, and Angular.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of performance, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to align solutions with strategic objectives.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office located at Southfield, MI, USA. What you need to have to be considered
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development using Spring Boot, Java, and Core Java.
- Proven ability to lead development teams and deliver complex software solutions.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Experience with Angular and front-end development.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence.
- Ability to contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $99k to $117k depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
