Role: Digital Workplace Services Architect
Location: Remote
Role Purpose
The Digital Workplace Services Architect – DWPS CoE is a strategic and technical authority responsible for defining Cognizant’s Digital Workplace vision, reference architectures, and transformation playbooks.
This role operates at the intersection of solutioning, consulting, large scale transitions, AI led modernization, and experience driven operations, enabling Cognizant to deliver industrialized, outcome based workplace services across global clients.
The architect acts as:
A CoE thought leader, A client facing advisor, A solution owner from pre sales through steady state, A mentor to DWPS delivery and solution teams
Key Responsibilities
1. DWPS CoE Architecture & Strategy Ownership
· Own and evolve DWPS reference architectures, solution patterns, and guardrails across:
· Service Desk & Experience Desk
· End User Computing (EUC)
· Collaboration & M365 platforms
· Automation, AI, and GenAI led workplace solutions
· Define standardized yet configurable solution blueprints aligned to Cognizant WorkNEXT™ and GISD delivery models
· Contribute to DWPS CoE capability roadmaps, accelerators, and IP development
2. AI Led & Experience Driven Workplace Transformation
· Lead AI driven workplace solution design, including:
· Conversational AI & Virtual Agents
· GenAI use cases (Copilot, ServiceNow Now Assist, custom agents)
· Automation first and zero touch support models
· Design experience led operations using XLAs, observability, and proactive remediation platforms (e.g., Nexthink based campaigns)
· Shift customers from transactional support to preventive and predictive workplace services
3. Solutioning, Pre Sales & Client Advisory
· Lead client discovery workshops, assessments, and transformation roadmap creation
· Own end to end DWPS solution architecture for:
· RFPs and deal pursuits
· Large transformations, transitions, and rebadging programs
· Partner with Sales, Client Partners, and Global Client Engagement to articulate:
· Business outcomes
· Experience improvements
· Cost optimization and productivity gains
4. Transition, Transformation & Delivery Alignment
· Provide architectural oversight for large scale DWPS transitions (multi country, multi vendor) ensuring:
· Zero business disruption
· Security, compliance, and local law adherence
· Ensure continuity from solution → transition → steady state delivery
· Define automation, deflection, and experience KPIs for delivery success
5. Governance, Standards & Talent Enablement
· Establish architecture governance, documentation standards, and design reviews
· Mentor DWPS architects, solution leads, and SMEs across regions
· Contribute to assessment frameworks, maturity models, and CoE playbooks
· Enable repeatability and scale through industrialized DWPS delivery
· Core Technology Scope (DWPS CoE)
· Service Management: ServiceNow ITSM, Now Assist, Virtual Agents
· Collaboration: Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook), Copilot
· EUC: Intune, VDI/DaaS, Device Lifecycle, Windows/macOS
· Experience & Analytics: Nexthink, Digital Experience platforms, XLAs
· Automation & AI: Conversational AI, GenAI, workflow orchestration
· Field & Support Center: Modern Field Services, omnichannel support models
· Experience & Skill Requirements
· 15–20+ years in Digital Workplace / IT Infrastructure / ITSM
· Strong background in consulting, solution architecture, and global delivery
· Proven experience supporting large enterprise clients across industries
Key Skills
Enterprise architecture & solution design, Client advisory & executive communication, Pre sales and deal solutioning, AI led workplace transformation, Change management and adoption strategy
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $142,000- $160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
