We are looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate has a passion for quality, an analytical mindset, and a strong focus on automation, actively working to prevent bugs and continuously improving test coverage in web applications. You will work in an agile environment, ensuring that our solutions deliver the best user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain test automation scripts (functional, regression, E2E, API) using modern frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or Robot Framework.

  • QA Strategy: Create test plans, test cases (manual and automated), and define test scenarios based on functional and business requirements.

  • CI/CD Pipeline: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to ensure rapid feedback on code.

  • "Shift-Left" Quality: Actively participate in user story refinements and agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) from the beginning of development, ensuring product testability.

  • Bug Analysis: Identify, document, and track bugs in tools like Jira, ensuring quality from staging to production environments.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers and Product Owners to prevent defects rather than just finding them.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience in QA and test automation.

  • Automation: Hands-on experience creating automation frameworks (Web) using JavaScript, Python, or Java.

  • Tools: Proficiency in tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Robot Framework.

  • API Testing: Experience in testing RESTful APIs (Postman, RestAssured, Insomnia).

  • Database: Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation.

  • Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).

  • Logic: Above-average logical reasoning and a software engineering mindset.

Differentiators (Desirable)

English: Advanced level (spoken and written) for communication with global teams (Intermediate level is required).

DevOps: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or IaC (Terraform).

Performance/Security: Experience with JMeter or security tools.

Certifications: ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Test Automation).

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Sao Paulo, SP - Rua Jaceru.
