About the role
Disk ingestion operators are responsible for Disk lifecycle and Ingest Operations based on operational requirements. Managing end-to end process of receiving registering, storing, and processing disk ingestion.
Your responsibilities:
Receive incoming disks for ingestion and verify their content
Accurately register disks in the system, ensuring they are logged in the database
Store disks securely and systematically to prevent misplace or damage
Monitor the ingestion process regularly to detect any interruptions or failures
Identify and resolve minor technical issues related to the ingestion process
Escalate complex issues to the infrastructure support team and coordinate resolutions
Wipe empty disks after ingestion following security and compliance protocols
Prepare disk for shipment by ensuring proper labelling and packaging
Coordinate the return shipment process and track outgoing disks
Monitor data transfer processes and datasets stored in the cloud and highlight inconsistencies. Ability to utilize information from complex dashboards.
Skills & Experience:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business.
Experience in operating and troubleshooting physical hardware
Tech Savy Knowledge about how to handle data center issues
Technical experience involving troubleshooting and resolving both hardware and software issues
Strong interest in technology
