Position: Senior Business Consultant – Commercial Operations
Job Summary:
The Commercial Operations SME acts as the onsite business-facing lead for the CAR‑T Commercial Analytics and Reporting program. This role will own end‑to‑end business engagement, translating commercial strategy, operational workflows, and decision needs into clear, prioritized requirements for analytics, AI models, and dashboards. The SME will be accountable for driving requirements clarity, ensuring business alignment, decision facilitation, and acceptance readiness across all commercial stakeholders.
Role and responsibilities
· Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and the delivery team
· Lead business requirement discovery, clarification, and prioritization
· Translate commercial workflows into:
o KPIs, metrics, and definitions
o Persona‑specific dashboards and insights
· Partner with Data Science and Architecture teams to:
o Validate predictive model assumptions
o Review model outputs, explainability, and business relevance
· Own UAT, business sign‑offs, and acceptance readiness
· Manage scope discipline and support change discussions
· Support governance forums, demos, and executive updates
· Enable adoption through walkthroughs and business enablement sessions
Required Skills
- 10+ years experience in Life Sciences / Pharma Commercial Operations
- Strong domain knowledge in Commercial Analytics, Reporting
- Ability to work with BI dashboards, KPIs, and analytics outputs
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven experience as an onsite client-facing lead / SME
- Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments
Good to Have
- Exposure to CAR‑T or oncology/specialty therapies
- Experience with Salesforce, Data Cloud, Tableau, or AI/ML analytics

Compensation & Benefits
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $130,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
