About the role

As a Senior Facets Configuration Manager, you will make an impact by leading the design, configuration, and optimization of Facets Benefit and Workflow functionality while leveraging deep ANSI SQL expertise to support complex data environments. You will be a valued member of our healthcare technology team and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and compliant technical solutions.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who combines strong technical proficiency, problem‑solving ability, and a passion for continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex Facets and ANSI SQL solutions to support business and operational needs.
  • Oversee configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Facets Benefit Configuration to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members working on Facets and ANSI SQL‑related initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data within the Facets system through audits, validations, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and technical processes.
  • Conduct testing and validation of system enhancements to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Facets configuration and ANSI SQL scripts.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
  • Participate in project planning activities, providing effort estimates and input on technical deliverables.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies to guide continuous system improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and resolutions.
  • Ensure all technical implementations comply with company policies and relevant regulatory standards.

What you need to have to be considered

  • Strong expertise in ANSI SQL, including hands‑on experience in complex data environments.
  • Extensive experience with Facets Benefit and Workflow Configuration.
  • Proven ability to design, analyze, test, and optimize Facets configurations and system changes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading technical projects and delivering high‑quality solutions.

  • Experience working in healthcare payer environments.
  • Familiarity with Facets data structures and integration points.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex system behavior and identify root causes.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $113K-$132K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
