OMNI Product Professional – Remote (Canada)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled OMNI Product Professional with strong hands-on expertise in Linux Shell Scripting, OmniPlus, OmniScript, VSAM, and COBOL. Experience in the Retirement domain is required. This fully remote role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting product solutions that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication, technical breadth, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and implement robust product architectures based on business and technical requirements.

· Develop and enhance system components using COBOL, VSAM, OmniPlus, OmniScript, and Linux Shell Scripting.

· Analyze and optimize systems to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.

· Work closely with distributed teams to ensure seamless integration of product features.

· Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.

· Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with standards.

· Lead troubleshooting activities to resolve complex production issues.

· Ensure adherence to industry regulations, security standards, and best practices.

· Stay current with emerging technologies to drive innovation.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.

· Support continuous improvement across systems, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications

· Strong hands-on experience in Linux Shell Scripting, OmniPlus, OmniScript, VSAM, and COBOL.

· Experience designing and implementing product architectures in remote or hybrid environments.

· Retirement domain or Life & Annuities Insurance experience (highly preferred).

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

· Proactive learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies.

Compensation (Canada)

The annual salary range for this position is CAD $115,000 – $135,000, based on experience, technical expertise, and location. This role may also be eligible for annual performance-based bonuses and discretionary incentives in accordance with company policies.
