Job Title - OMNI Product Engineer
About the role
As an OMNI Product Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, optimizing, and supporting core product solutions across the Retirement domain. You will be a valued member of our Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross‑functional partners to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑performing system capabilities.
In this role, you will:
· Design and implement robust product architectures aligned to business and technical requirements.
· Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to integrate features and ensure seamless system functionality.
· Analyze and optimize existing applications to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
· Lead troubleshooting efforts, conduct code reviews, and drive root‑cause analysis for complex technical issues.
· Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
Work model — Remote

What you need to have to be considered
· Strong expertise in Linux Shell Scripting, OMNIPlus, OMNIScript, VSAM, and COBOL.
· Experience designing and implementing product architectures in complex system environments.
· Background in the Retirement, Life, or Annuities domain.
· Excellent problem‑solving ability and experience resolving complex technical issues.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
These will help you stand out
· Experience improving or modernizing legacy financial systems.
· Familiarity with secure coding practices and data protection standards.
· Experience implementing performance tuning and system optimization.
· Exposure to emerging technologies relevant to Retirement product platforms.
· Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between CAD 60,000 – 110,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
