About the role
As a Project Manager, you will make an impact by leading the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of Java and Angular application development projects. You will be a valued member of the technology delivery team and collaborate closely with stakeholders, technical leads, developers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless execution across the project lifecycle.
In this role, you will:
- Lead project planning sessions to define scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure effective project execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation and schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks or issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Manage communication and relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

What you need to have to be considered
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading software development projects, specifically in Java and Angular.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
- Additional skills Java Spring front‑end, in‑house automation, Profile Scripting Language, and NoSQL databases.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 – $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
