Position Summary:
The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Business Process Analyst will excel in RPA, presenting both consulting and development skillsets. They will work closely with business stakeholders through completing consulting led RPA process assessments, documenting business processes, communicating to development teams on requirements and having experience in agile RPA delivery.
They will collaborate with a client to enable them to deliver and scale RPA solutions. They will play a critical role in the growth of the Cognizant team and its RPA capability across ANZ.
One key part of the role will be to identify quality and prioritizing opportunities to automate process, demonstrating to clients the achievement of benefits and suggesting process improvements as part of a continuous journey.
Mandatory Skills:
•Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
•Expertise in process modelling using BPMN 2.0
•Proven experience working in mature automation environments and having worked on leading RPA Platforms (such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate)
•Extensive experience in the insurance domain
•Familiarity with insurance claims systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
•Ability to design future state processes that effectively integrate automation with agentic capabilities while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
•Understanding of AI integration, and ethical automation practices.
•Ability to analyse complex processes, simplify where possible, and break them into sub-processes while identifying redundancies.
•Proficient in Business Process Management (BPM) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
•Ability to assess process ROI and build a prioritized automation pipeline in collaboration with business stakeholders.
•Exceptional communication and facilitation skills; with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
•Demonstrates thoroughness and attention to detail in creating accurate, effective process and solution designs.
•Capable of leading and clearly communicating requirements to both onshore and offshore teams.
•Ability to playback future “to-be” solutions to multiple audiences with varying degrees of technological maturity.
•Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other collaboration tools.
•Demonstrates enthusiasm and initiative in implementing and developing innovative solutions.
•Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning and self-development, actively upskilling on emerging AI technologies, automation trends, and industry best practices.
•Experience managing a team of BPAs
•Experience in Agile methodologies, especially SCRUM
•Experience in project management
•Proficient in process modelling using Visio and ARIS to visualize and optimize business workflows, facilitating effective automation design and deployment
•Proven expertise in executing comprehensive quality assurance testing to guarantee the reliability, accuracy, and optimal performance of automated processes.
•Skilled in leveraging document intelligence tools like IQ Bots and Microsoft Azure DI to automate data extraction and processing from complex documents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze current-state (As-Is) processes, identify issues and improvement areas.
•Design future-state (To-Be) processes, present them to business stakeholders for review, and obtain sign-off for development and implementation.
•Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify opportunities for agentic automation, assess technical feasibility and contribute to process ideation documentation.
•Apply consulting expertise, to identify areas of process improvement and deliver actionable recommendations.
•Prepare and maintain documentation including Process Definition Documents (PDDs), BPMN process models, and handover materials.
•Create detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
•Document business rules, exception scenarios, and escalation paths including Human-in-the-loop interactions.
•Assess & model the automation requirements of the solution ensuring seamless integration with intelligent automation components such as OCR, intelligent document processing, and AI/ML models.
•Create detailed test case documentation capturing the test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation steps.
•Work closely with development teams to communicate requirements, update documentation related to any enhancements/bug fixes made.
•Collaborate with Data Science teams to gather model requirements, validate datasets, and AI-driven components within agentic automation solutions.
•Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Verification Testing (PVT), document defects and track issue resolution.
•Managing a team of senior BPAs
•Assisting the Project manager met with planning tasks and resourcing.
Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):
•Project Management Professional (PMP) - mandatory
•UIPATH Certified RPA Associate (UiRPA) - mandatory
•AI 900 – Microsoft Certified Azure AI Fundamentals - optional
Salary Range: >$100,000
