About the role

As a Data Quality Consultant, you will make an impact by strengthening data governance and enhancing data quality for a leading automotive retailer. You will be a valued member of the data governance team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure high‑quality, reliability, and trusted data.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement comprehensive data quality rules using the DQLabs.ai SaaS platform and Snowflake to improve data accuracy, completeness, uniqueness, and integrity.
  • Configure out‑of‑the‑box rules and develop custom SQL‑based data quality rules for enterprise-critical datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define key data quality metrics and align rule implementations with business needs.
  • Contribute to designing and scaling a robust data quality framework supporting enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.
  • Conduct extensive end-user testing to identify bugs, usability issues, and improvement opportunities in the DQLabs platform. Create and execute test cases that replicate real‑world workflows and validate vendor fixes.

Work model: Remote

What you need to have to be considered

  • Hands-on experience implementing data quality rules using DQLabs.ai, Snowflake, or similar data quality/governance platforms.
  • Strong SQL expertise for developing custom data quality rules and validations.
  • Experience working with enterprise data governance, data quality metrics, and data management best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable DQ rules.
  • Experience performing structured system or platform testing, including defect identification, documentation, and resolution follow‑up.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience working in a large-scale enterprise or regulated industry (automotive, financial services, retail, etc.).
  • Familiarity with master data management (MDM), metadata management, or enterprise data governance frameworks.
  • Previous experience partnering with SaaS vendors on product enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake best practices, cloud data ecosystems, and data modeling.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until March 29, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 115,000 - $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
