As a Senior Automation Engineer specializing in Wealth Management, you will design and execute robust testing frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG and API Testing to validate critical Wealth Management applications. You will leverage AWS/Azure cloud environments and CI/CD tools such as Docker and GitLab to ensure seamless delivery and industry compliance for segregated funds and retirement policy systems.
In this role, you will
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases in Java and TestNG to validate software functionality.
- Design and implementation of automated testing frameworks using Jenkins, GitHub Copilot, and Selenium to ensure robust software quality.
- Drive the adoption of Cucumber for behavior-driven development to align testing with business requirements.
- Manage integration of testing tools such as RestAssured and SoapUI to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
- Provide expertise in AWS and Azure environments to enhance testing capabilities and ensure seamless deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement Docker and Gitlab for continuous integration and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in Asset and Wealth Management through rigorous testing.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Identify and resolve testing bottlenecks to enhance the overall efficiency of the software development lifecycle.
Required skills
- Must have working experience in the Wealth Management domain, including Segregated funds (seg funds) and different retirement policies.
- Must have knowledge in Unitrax OR any Wealth Management application.
- Show proficiency in Java and TestNG for developing and executing test cases.
- Exhibit expertise in Rest Assured and SoapUI for API testing.
- Possess strong experience in Jenkins, GitHub Copilot, and Selenium for automated testing.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AWS and Azure for cloud-based testing environments.
- Have a solid understanding of Docker and Gitlab for continuous integration and delivery.
- Must have domain knowledge in Asset and Wealth Management to ensure industry-specific quality standards.

Total compensation:
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 73,000 – 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, province.
