Job Description: Senior Developer – Oracle Service Bus (OSB) & SOA Suite
Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Developer with strong hands‑on experience in Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle SOA Suite to support integration development activities for a customer project. The role involves designing and developing integration services, implementing transformation logic, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with architects and customer technical teams to deliver high‑quality integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integration services using OSB 12c and SOA Suite 12c (BPEL, Mediator, Adapters).
- Build and configure proxy/business services, pipelines, mediations, and orchestration flows.
- Implement payload transformations using XQuery/XSLT, schema validations, and mapping logic.
- Work with DB, JMS, FTP/SFTP, REST/SOAP adapters to build end‑to‑end integrations.
- Implement error handling, fault policies, retries, and best‑practice integration patterns.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of OSB/SOA components.
- Collaborate with the Lead Developer/Architect to understand design specifications and align development with standards.
- Prepare technical documentation for services, mappings, and configurations.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to reusable components and frameworks.
Required Skills
- 4–8 years of hands‑on experience in Oracle OSB 11g/12c and SOA Suite 12c.
- Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP/REST, XSLT, XQuery.
- Experience with Oracle adapters: Database Adapter, JMS, File/FTP, REST/SOAP adapters.
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, message routing, orchestration, and exception handling.
- Experience deploying, testing, and troubleshooting in WebLogic Server environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD for SOA/OSB (WLST, Maven, Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of Oracle API Gateway or Oracle Cloud Integration (optional).
- Exposure to Agile development practices.
