Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced OMS Program Manager to lead and govern the end‑to‑end execution of a custom OMS modernization program . This role is responsible for program‑level planning, dependency orchestration, risk management, and delivery predictability across multiple agile teams and ARTs.
This role requires strong OMS program experience, deep familiarity with retail / fulfillment systems, and proven success managing complex, integration‑heavy transformations in a SAFe environment.
Key Responsibilities
1) Program Planning & Governance
- Own program‑level planning across quarterly and PI horizons.
- Partner with Product Management and Architecture to:
- Align scope, sequencing, and milestones
- Balance discovery outcomes with delivery commitments
- Establish and maintain program governance, delivery cadence, and reporting.
2) PI Planning & SAFe Execution Leadership
- Lead and coordinate PI Planning preparation and execution across teams and ARTs.
- Ensure:
- Clear objectives and scope alignment
- Dependency visibility and resolution plans
- Realistic capacity and milestone commitments
- Partner with RTEs, Product Managers, and POs to drive execution readiness.
3) Dependency, Risk & Issue Management (Primary Focus)
- Proactively identify and manage:
- Cross‑team and cross‑ART dependencies
- External vendor or platform dependencies
- Integration and environment risks
- Drive early risk surfacing, mitigation plans, and escalation when required.
- Own RAID logs and ensure transparent communication to leadership.
4) OMS Program Delivery Oversight
- Oversee delivery of OMS capabilities across:
- Order lifecycle management
- Fulfillment orchestration (Pickup, Ship‑to‑Home, Ship‑to‑Store)
- Inventory, sourcing, and vendor integrations
- Returns, refunds, and financial workflows
- Ensure delivery sequencing aligns with technical architecture and platform constraints.
- Monitor integration readiness across OMS, downstream, and upstream systems.
5) Technical & Architectural Alignment
- Partner closely with:
- OMS architects
- Platform and integration teams
- Engineering leadership
- Ensure program plans account for:
- API and event‑driven dependencies
- Non‑functional requirements (performance, resiliency, security)
- Data migration and cutover strategies
- Translate technical risks into program‑level impact and decisions.
6) Metrics, Reporting & Executive Communication
- Define and track program health metrics, including:
- PI predictability
- Dependency burn‑down
- Delivery milestones
- Risk trends
- Provide clear, concise updates to senior stakeholders.
- Enable data‑driven decisions on scope, sequencing, and trade‑offs.
Required Skills & Experience (Must‑Haves)
Program & Delivery Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in Program Management / Delivery Leadership for large enterprise initiatives.
- 3–5+ years managing programs in Agile / SAFe environments.
- Demonstrated success leading multi‑team, multi‑PI programs.
OMS & Domain Expertise (Non‑Negotiable)
- Strong OMS domain experience, including:
- Order lifecycle and fulfillment systems
- Omnichannel retail (Pickup, Delivery, Ship‑to‑Home, Returns)
- Inventory and supply chain integrations
- Experience with enterprise OMS platforms such as:
- Manhattan
- Blue Yonder
- IBM Sterling
- Or large custom‑built OMS solutions
- Must understand OMS‑driven dependencies and integration risks, even if not hands‑on.
Technical & Integration Fluency
- Comfortable discussing:
- APIs and event/message flows
- System integration sequencing
- Non‑functional requirements
- Able to partner effectively with architects and engineering leads.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong stakeholder management skills in large, matrixed organizations.
- Proven ability to influence without authority.
- Clear, executive‑ready communication style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading legacy OMS modernization to microservices/event‑driven architectures.
- Prior experience in retail, eCommerce, supply chain, or fulfillment at scale.
- Global delivery experience (onshore/offshore teams).
- SAFe certifications (SPC, SAFe Program Consultant, or equivalent).

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $88,690 - $155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
