Job Summary

We are looking for an V&V HMI Test Engineer who is responsible for validating and supporting the Connectivity & Infotainment HMI features functionality across multiple variants. This role involves pre-analysis of tickets, error identification, development of detailed manual and automated test cases based on HMI feature requirements and specifications, perform various types of testing, including functional, UI (User Interface), regression, smoke, and sanity testing. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Hands on validation experience as a Test Engineer for various Automotive domains like Body, Chassis, Infotainment, Instrument Cluster etc.

• Experience in Hardware in Loop (HIL), Manual/Automated Testing, Functional and Regression Testing (Black Box and White Box testing).

• Good Experience in any HIL Platform validation or CANoe based Test Platform.

• Involved in Creation, Execution, Review of the Test Cases, analyzing the test result discrepancies and resolving them by debugging.

• Good knowledge about SDLC Software Development Life Cycle).

• Expertise in CAN communication protocol and its Vector tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANape

• Develop and executing Test Cases from Customer requirements

• Experience in Analysis of test logs using CANoe, CANanalyzer or similar tools.

• Experience in defect life cycle management and Requirement management tools.

Must have Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, Electrical or related field

• Experience: Overall, 4+ years of experience, primarily focused on managing and executing Infotainment & HMI testing activities, test case development, and test execution on test bench setups.

• Strong expertise Manual/Automated Testing, CANoe or HIL, Test Design, Test Execution

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in agile development methodologies and project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Rally, or similar).

• Basic knowledge of working with common tools: CANape, CANoe, CANalyser, ODIS

Good to have Skills:

• Exposure to diagnostic transport layers (e.g., DoIP) and automotive middleware (e.g., SOME/IP).

• Experience with ECU flashing workflows, secure update mechanisms, and rollback strategies.

• Scripting for test automation and log parsing (e.g., Python), and familiarity with ALM/confluence ecosystems.

• Knowledge of test environment setup (benches/HIL), CAN/LIN tools, and release readiness criteria.

• Experience with testing methodologies and tools (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level certification).

Soft Skills:

• Strategic thinking and decision-making ability.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ownership mindset with stakeholder alignment; comfortable working across time zones.

• Ability to manage ambiguity and drive results under pressure.
