TPM Functional Lead – Job Description
Role Overview:
As a TPM Functional Lead, you will be the principal functional expert and client-facing lead for Trade Promotion Management (TPM) solution delivery. You will guide clients—leading global CPG/FMCG companies—through the implementation process, ensuring the solution delivers measurable value and supports their revenue growth ambitions. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery, lead workshops, define solution blueprints, and manage key client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the functional workstream for TPM delivery projects, from requirements gathering and solution design to enablement and go‑live.
- Facilitate client workshops to understand business processes, pain points, and value drivers in trade promotion and revenue management.
- Develop and own the functional solution blueprint, ensuring alignment with client objectives and CPG/FMCG best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and business analysts to ensure seamless delivery and risk mitigation.
- Advise clients on industry best practices, emerging revenue management trends, and digital transformation strategies in CPG/FMCG.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), change management, and ensure user adoption and business readiness.
- Mentor and support business analysts and other functional team members.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the implementation journey.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or an analytical discipline.
- Deep experience in CPG/FMCG commercial processes, especially Trade Promotion Management, Revenue Growth Management, and/or Sales Force Automation.
- Proven track record in leading functional delivery of enterprise software (preferably SaaS) for large CPG/FMCG clients.
- Strong understanding of value levers in CPG: pricing, promotion, assortment, trade terms, and ROI analysis.
- Experience running client workshops, solution blueprinting, and functional design.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consultative skills.
- Familiarity with TPM/RGM solutions (SAP, Anaplan, etc.) and integration with ERP/BI systems.
- Ability to manage end‑to‑end project delivery including project mobilization, process design, system configuration, testing, integration, data migration, deployment, and business adoption.
- Comfort working with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Change management and user enablement experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
