Job Summary

As an Architect you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust solutions using IBM z/OS Connect and Mainframe technologies. You will leverage your expertise in Kafka Webservices and Python to drive innovation and efficiency. Your contributions will enhance our systems capabilities and support our business objectives in the securities lending and reconciliation domains.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions using IBM z/OS Connect to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Mainframe CoolGen/CA Gen applications with modern technologies.
• Develop and maintain APIs using Mainframe API and Webservices (SOAP and RESTful) to facilitate seamless data exchange.
• Utilize Python and REXX to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Write and optimize Cobol programs to support business-critical applications.
• Manage CICS transactions to ensure smooth and efficient processing of data.
• Oversee VSAM and JCL operations to maintain data integrity and system functionality.
• Administer DB2 databases to ensure optimal performance and data management.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members in the reconciliation and securities lending domains.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of solutions to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Implement best practices for system architecture to support business growth and innovation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications

• Possess strong expertise in IBM z/OS Connect and Mainframe technologies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Kafka and Webservices (SOAP and RESTful) for effective data integration.
• Have solid experience in Python and REXX for automation and process improvement.
• Show capability in Cobol programming for business-critical applications.
• Experience in CICS VSAM JCL and DB2 for efficient data management.
• Familiarity with reconciliation and securities lending domains is a plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with a focus on day shifts.
