About the role
As an S1 Engineer – Full Stack, you will make an impact by developing, enhancing, and supporting full stack applications that power key operations within the Payer domain. You will be a valued member of our technology delivery team and will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, high‑performing solutions.
In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain full stack applications that support critical Payer-domain processes, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Apply advanced SQL capabilities to design, optimize, and manage database structures and queries for integrity, accuracy, and security.
Leverage expertise in Facets to enhance system functionality, resolve issues, and streamline workflows.
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality and readiness for production.
Collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams to plan releases, solve issues, and continuously improve application performance.

What you must have to be considered
10–12 years of professional experience in full stack development across complex enterprise systems.
Strong proficiency in SQL for database development, performance tuning, and optimization.
Hands‑on experience with Facets and understanding of Payer‑domain operations, functions, and workflows.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.
Professional-level communication skills in English to interact with global teams and document solutions effectively.
These will help you stand out
Experience contributing to architectural decisions or technical strategy within development teams.
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑based environments.
Ability to analyze user behavior and system data to recommend enhancements and performance improvements.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and growth in full stack technologies and Payer-domain expertise.
Ability to work effectively in distributed teams and fast‑paced environments.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $110K - $130K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
