Cognizant DATA & AI is seeking an experienced and strategic Data Manager to lead our data initiatives, oversee our cloud data infrastructure, and manage cross-functional data projects. In this role, you will be the bridge between technical execution and business strategy. You will own the end-to-end delivery of data solutions utilizing Snowflake, AWS, and Azure, while applying strong Project Management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Cloud Architecture

• Platform Management: Oversee and optimize our enterprise data warehouse environment utilizing Snowflake/Databricks across multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure).
• Data Governance & Security: Establish and enforce data governance, quality standards, and security protocols across all cloud platforms to ensure compliance and data integrity.

Project & Team Management

• Agile Leadership: Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to keep the data team aligned and productive.
• Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical data concepts into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or a closely related technical field, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or project management role.
• Project Management: Strong background in managing technical projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com).
• Languages: Proficiency in SQL and a strong understanding of Python or other scripting languages used in data engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified ScrumMaster).
