Title: Network Engineer
Location: KL, Malaysia
Summary:
The Network Engineer Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This service analyze network issues, proposes solutions, and service with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and scalability.
Must have:
· NSX-T is a must
· Automation is a must, specifically with Terraform and Python (Ansible is a nice to have).
· Cisco ACI is nice to have. If there’s no Cisco ACI expertise, VXLAN can be considered too.
· Strong network expertise with virtualization and development expertise such as implementation of network, NSX-T firewall rules etc.
· Routing BGP and OSPF expertise
Qualification:
· Network Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS
· Routing & Switching: Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HP
· Firewall & Security: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, VPN technologies
· Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, PRTG
· Cloud Networking: AWS, Azure, GCP networking components
· Virtualization: VMware NSX, Hyper-V, SD-WAN
· Scripting & Automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible
· Network Design & Architecture: LAN/WAN, data center, wireless networks
· Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Packet analysis, performance tuning
· Compliance & Standards: ISO 27001, ITIL, NIST, GDPR (where applicable).
Responsibilities:
· Proven expertise in managing enterprise-level network infrastructure
· Expertise with network configuration, upgrades, and migrations
· Expertise in incident response and root cause analysis
· Overview of IT service management and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
· Service in network audits and security assessments
· Expertise servicing in hybrid environments (on-premises + cloud).
· Diagnose complex network issues and propose effective solutions
· Identify risks and resolve issues
