About the role
As an SAP FICO Test Lead – Life Sciences, you will make an impact by leading the end‑to‑end testing strategy and execution for complex company split and merger scenarios within a regulated Life Sciences (GxP) environment. You will be a key member of the Finance Transformation and Quality team, working closely with global finance, security, data, compliance, cutover, and program leadership teams to ensure a smooth and disruption‑free transition.
In this role, you will:
Lead the overall test strategy and execution for SAP testing during a split or merger, ensuring business continuity and compliance.
Define end‑to‑end test scenarios, test requirements, and test scripts for SIT, BST, and UAT cycles.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams—BPOs, TPOs, Finance functional leads, Security, SQA, Data, Compliance, Cutover, and Migration—to ensure readiness and timely execution.
Conduct workshops to identify E2E flows, data dependencies, integration touchpoints, and required security personas.
Manage test governance: kickoffs, daily execution tracking, defect triage meetings, exit criteria validation, and securing sign‑offs.
Ensure all testing activities meet Life Sciences GxP regulatory and validation requirements.
Build and socialize test metrics and dashboards using JIRA, ensuring visibility to leadership and stakeholders.

What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of strong experience as an SAP Test Manager leading testing for company split or merger programs (primary requirement).
Deep hands‑on experience testing SAP FICO processes: AP, AR, Projects, Fixed Assets, Cash & Banking, Treasury, Revenue Accounting.
Proven experience planning and executing SIT, BST, and UAT cycles end‑to‑end.
Ability to coordinate testing dependencies across global partner teams (Security, Data, Cutover, Migration, Compliance).
Knowledge of SAP systems to support issue triage, defect analysis, and troubleshooting.
Strong proficiency with JIRA for dashboards, reporting, and metrics visualization.
Working knowledge of GxP and validation expectations within Life Sciences programs.
This will help you stand out
Experience using Tosca for automation to improve test efficiency.
Domain exposure to Medical Devices.
Familiarity with R&D processes and scientific workflow testing.
Understanding of data models to validate data‑driven and reporting applications.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,513 to $130,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
