About the role
As an SAP Test Manager – FICO, you will make an impact by leading the end‑to‑end testing and validation of SAP finance processes and consolidation reporting during a major organizational restructuring initiative. You will be a valued member of the Finance Transformation & QA team and work collaboratively with functional leads, BPOs/TPOs, compliance teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders across geographies.
In this role, you will:
Define and lead the comprehensive test strategy for SAP validation in a company‑split scenario, ensuring zero business disruption.
Oversee end‑to‑end testing cycles (SIT, BST, UAT), including scope definition, scenario planning, test script creation, resource planning, and readiness tracking.
Coordinate with global BPOs, TPOs, Finance functional leads, Security, Data, SQA, Compliance, Cutover, and Migration teams to ensure smooth execution across all phases.
Lead and facilitate workshops to determine E2E scenarios, data dependencies, security personas, and cross‑system integration requirements.
Drive testing governance by conducting kickoffs, monitoring execution, managing defect triage, performing exit assessments, and securing approvals.

What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of experience in software testing with strong hands‑on SAP FICO process testing (AP, AR, FA, Projects, Banking, Treasury, Revenue Accounting).
Proven experience validating SAP SAC consolidation reports and financial data flows.
Strong experience managing multi‑phase SAP test cycles (SIT, BST, UAT) within large transformation programs.
Demonstrated ability to identify test requirements, define E2E scenarios, create scripts, and coordinate execution across globally distributed teams.
Experience supporting SAP troubleshooting and issue resolution in finance modules.
Hands‑on experience with JIRA for tracking, structuring dashboards, and generating testing metrics.
Experience working in GxP‑regulated life sciences environments and ensuring compliance with validation processes.
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Security, Cutover, Migration, Data, Compliance, Functional Leads, BPOs/TPOs) to manage dependencies and ensure test readiness.
This will help you stand out
Experience using Tosca for automation to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Background in medical devices or broader life sciences product domains.
Familiarity with research and development processes and associated testing requirements.
Understanding data models to support accurate validation of financial and reporting applications.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,513 to $130,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
