About the role
As a Product Owner / Business Analyst – Mortgage Transformation, you will make an impact by driving large‑scale mortgage data modernization and transformation initiatives, combining deep mortgage domain expertise. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant Consulting team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, delivery leaders, architects, and cross‑functional teams to define domain strategy, lead client workshops, and deliver modernized mortgage solutions.
In this role, you will:
Lead and support mortgage transformation programs across origination, servicing, and compliance, with a strong focus on data modernization
Define domain strategy and translate business objectives into clear product vision, requirements, and roadmaps
Lead client workshops to gather requirements, analyze current‑state workflows, and design future‑state processes
Oversee solution design by partnering with technology and architecture teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and data‑driven solutions
Mentor and guide delivery teams, providing domain leadership, stakeholder management, and change support throughout implementation
Work model
We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States. The client has offices in Irving, TX. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work‑life balance through our various wellbeing programs.

What you must have to be considered
Proven experience in a Product Owner and/or Business Analyst role within mortgage on a data modernization and transformation program
Strong experience in mortgage transformation programs, including origination, servicing, and regulatory compliance
Deep mortgage domain knowledge across the full mortgage lifecycle, documentation, and regulatory requirements
Strong data modernization experience, including data platforms, reporting, analytics, and modernization initiatives supporting mortgage operations
Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, analyze workflows, perform process mapping, and support solution design and implementation
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and client‑facing communication skills
These will help you succeed
Experience leading or facilitating client workshops and executive‑level discussions
Exposure to digital transformation initiatives in mortgage or lending environments
Experience mentoring teams and supporting change management in large programs
Familiarity with agile delivery models and cross‑functional collaboration
Consulting experience supporting large financial services clients
