Sr. Java Developer (Java, Kafka, Spring boot)

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Java Developer with min 6+ years’ experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. As a Sr. Software Engineer B2, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Kafka, Database and SQL, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Java MQ, Rest API, and Java to drive innovation and efficiency. Roles & Responsibilities:

· Design and develop robust software applications using Kafka, ensuring seamless data streaming and processing.

· Implement and optimize database solutions using SQL to enhance data retrieval and storage efficiency.

· Utilize Hibernate for effective object-relational mapping, ensuring data consistency and integrity.

· Develop and maintain applications using Spring Boot, focusing on microservices architecture for scalability.

· Integrate Spring Framework components to streamline application development and improve performance.

· Implement Java MQ solutions for reliable messaging and communication between distributed systems.

· Develop Rest API services to facilitate smooth interaction between client and server applications. Collaborate with cross

· Functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

· Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality software delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing user experience.

· Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

· Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards within the team.

· Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection regulations in all software solutions.

A minimum 6 + years hands on experience with the below skills:

Canadian Pay Transparency Statement

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $ 60,300 – 95,500 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
