Responsibilities
Responsibility Sales and Revenue Ownership Owns and drives revenue for their service line within assigned accounts. Leads pursuits for non strategic and expansion opportunities. Supports renewals and contributes to pipeline generation and conversion Client Engagement and Relationship Management Engages with CXO VP and Director level client stakeholders. Participates in QBRs and executive reviews. Builds trusted advisor status through domain expertise and consultative selling Solutioning and Proposal Development Shapes solutions aligned to client needs and Cognizants offerings. Provides subject matter expertise in RFP responses and orals. Collaborates with internal teams to develop differentiated proposals Applies structured thinking and executive communication techniques Uses negotiation frameworks to protect margins and close deals effectively Account Management and Delivery oversight Supports account management including forecasting budgeting and delivery alignment. Identifies risks and ensures delivery quality in collaboration with delivery teams Works with Client Partners Delivery Finance Legal and Marketing to align on pursuit strategy. Engages with service line and offering teams to co create solutions Key Decision Rights Leads solution shaping and pricing recommendations for their pursuits. Influences gono go decisions and pursuit prioritization. Owns tactical decisions related to proposal content and client engagement strategy PandL Ownership While full Profile and Loss ownership typically resides with Client Partners or Sales Managers SLSs may co own revenue and margin outcomes for their pursuits and renewal. Competencies required Sales Acumen Opportunity identification deal shaping pipeline management Domain Expertise Deep knowledge of the assigned service line Communication Executive presence structured messaging persuasive storytelling Negotiation Value based negotiation margin protection stakeholder alignment Collaboration Cross functional teamwork internal influence client co creation Experience guidelines 10 years experience in a senior level consulting client facing role or account manager leadership role. Recent experience working for IT professional services or management consulting firms . Recent experience managing global service delivery models . Excellent problem solving business communication written & oral and client management skills are essential. Ability to build client relationships strengthening partnerships by focusing on exceptional client experience risk management and value realization built on the foundation of Cognizant leadership capabilities . Experience developing opportunity pipelines qualifying high priority deals and winning new business in line with agreed targets. Experience closing sales with a specific emphasis on growing sales. Specifically win new deals in customer account per pre agreed targets. Bachelors degree required OR equivalent combination of education training and experience. Up to 50 percentage travel is required. Ability to grow into having a senior executive presence possesses an interest and passion toward engaging senior level executives in grasping and enabling fundamentals of business change through consulting solutions. Proven leadership qualities such as conflict issue resolution strategic and critical thinking and ownership particularly with highly diverse teams. Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual and highly matrixed environment.
