Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 6 to 8 years of experience in OOABL Progress OpenEdge Progress Database QAD Inc MFG-PRO Progress Corticon and Progress 4GL. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model focusing on developing and optimizing applications that drive our business forward. Experience in Asset & Wealth Management is a plus. This role does not require travel and operates during day shifts.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using OOABL and Progress OpenEdge to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust applications that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Optimize Progress Database performance to ensure seamless data retrieval and storage processes.
  • Utilize QAD Inc MFG-PRO to streamline manufacturing processes and improve system integration.
  • Implement business rules using Progress Corticon to automate decision-making processes.
  • Leverage Progress 4GL to build scalable applications that support business growth.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications to minimize downtime.
  • Document software specifications and update technical documentation to reflect system changes.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all development activities.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and best practices.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess strong expertise in OOABL and Progress OpenEdge for effective software development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Progress Database management and optimization techniques.
  • Have hands-on experience with QAD Inc MFG-PRO for manufacturing process improvements.
  • Show capability in using Progress Corticon for business rule implementation.
  • Exhibit skills in Progress 4GL for application development and scalability.
  • Experience in Asset & Wealth Management is a valuable asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model and adapt to changing project needs.
