About the role

As a Project Manager - Life Sciences (Business System Analyst), you will make an impact by leading Phase 0 planning, architecture definition, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight for large-scale technology implementations. You will be a valued member of the delivery and architecture team, working collaboratively with project managers, business analysts, architects, client stakeholders, and vendor partners to define scope, create plans, assess gaps, and enable a successful implementation roadmap.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead project kickoff, planning activities, scheduling, and deliverable management.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand scope, business processes, requirements, and ensure alignment across teams.

  • Conduct workshops, gap-fit assessments, and produce detailed readouts and documentation.

  • Define and document solution architecture, including high-level design, deployment diagrams, data migration analysis, and cloud considerations.

  • Coordinate across internal teams, client teams (BRM, BSA, Architecture), and external vendors to ensure timely and quality deliverables.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Proven experience leading complex IT projects, including scheduling, scope management, deliverables, and risk mitigation.

  • Strong background in conducting workshops, requirements gathering, business process analysis, and gap-fit assessments.

  • Experience drafting functional and user requirement specifications, validation plans, test strategies, and test scenarios.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with architecture, security, network, and service design teams to gather input and ensure compliance.

  • Experience defining high-level solution architectures and preparing implementation plans, cost estimates, and effort models.

These will help you stand out:

  • Experience with cloud architecture and deployment planning.

  • Prior work coordinating across large, matrixed organizations and vendor-managed projects.

  • Familiarity with ARB/architecture review processes and pre-approval procedures.

  • Ability to translate business drivers into actionable IT strategies and communicate them to stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills for data migration analysis, testing effort estimation, and architecture documentation.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until April 05, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 113,000 - $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
