Cognizant is seeking a highly motivated and customer–focused IT Support Specialist to join our team and support a key client onsite in Social Circle, GA. This is an onsite position requiring working out of the client office 5 days a week. In this role, you will serve as the first line of defense for technical issues, ensuring prompt resolution, exceptional customer service, and smooth operation of end-user computing environments. This is a hands-on position suited for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, service-oriented environments and enjoy solving problems with efficiency and empathy.

In this role, you will
Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via walk‑up support, phone, chat, email, and remote tools, delivering exceptional customer service throughout the process.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, macOS devices, and network-related issues, using diagnostic techniques to identify root causes and provide step‑by‑step resolution guidance.
Prioritize, manage, and resolve multiple technical issues in a fast-paced environment, escalating unresolved problems to higher support tiers when necessary.
Document incidents and resolutions thoroughly in internal ticketing systems, maintain accurate records, and communicate timely updates to users.
Manage IT logistics, including asset administration, hardware distribution/setup, shipping/receiving, and maintaining storage inventories and IT vending machines.
Provide Level 1 video conferencing support, including troubleshooting AV equipment, inspecting conference rooms, and supporting event spaces and onsite events.
Collaborate with internal teams by sharing customer feedback, identifying opportunities for service improvements, and ensuring accurate information about IT products and services is provided.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
3+ years of experience in Desktop Support.
3+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting macOS devices.
2+ years of experience with video conferencing technologies (Zoom, Teams Rooms, AV hardware, etc.).
