Job Summary
A Delta V lead engineer in the life science industry is responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of Emersons DeltaV automation system within a life science manufacturing or research environment. They would oversee projects related to DeltaV ensuring compliance with industry regulations and providing technical expertise and support.
Responsibilities
Experience with DeltaV Proven experience in designing implementing and maintaining DeltaV systems Industry Knowledge Experience in the life science industry including pharmaceutical biopharmaceutical or biotechnology Automation Knowledge Strong understanding of automation principles including DCS PLCs and other automation technologies Validation and Compliance Knowledge of relevant validation and compliance standards such as cGMP GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11 Project Management Strong project management skills including planning scheduling and resource allocation Technical Skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues Communication and Collaboration Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills Compliance and Validation Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as cGMP and GAMP 5 through proper validation and documentation Support and Maintenance Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the DeltaV system addressing issues and ensuring optimal performance Collaboration Collaborate with cross functional teams including operations IT and quality to integrate DeltaV into the overall manufacturing or research process Continuous Improvement Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the DeltaV system and related processes Training Train operators and engineers on the DeltaV system

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 80,000 - $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
