About the role

As a Retail Tech Project Manager, you will make an impact by leading end‑to‑end delivery of technology initiatives across retail platforms, data ecosystems, and cloud‑native environments. You will be a valued member of our delivery team and collaborate closely with engineering, data, product, cloud operations, and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, scalable solutions are delivered on time.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of retail technology programs such as POS modernization, digital commerce, supply chain technology, or retail analytics.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, milestones, and reporting across Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks.
  • Drive daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination activities.
  • Partner with engineering teams to review architecture decisions, solution designs, and integration plans.
  • Use Python knowledge to assist with automation, data validation, log analysis, or prototyping.
  • Support cloud initiatives using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2, Glue, CloudWatch, RDS).
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams on cloud‑native pipelines, APIs, and data workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization across the technology landscape.

Work model

Onsite

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 4 days a week (Monday–Thursday) at the client office in Vancouver, BC.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 6–12 years of total experience, including 3–5 years as a Project Manager in retail or consumer-facing technology.
  • Strong understanding of retail domain areas such as store operations, supply chain, merchandising, digital commerce, or retail data platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or data handling.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, EC2, Glue, CloudWatch, RDS).
  • Proven track record delivering complex, multi-team, cross-functional technology programs.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban); Agile certifications are a plus.

These will help you stand out

  • Background in data engineering or cloud engineering.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with microservices, API integrations, or data platform architectures.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent.
  • Experience with offshore–onsite delivery models.

Compensation

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between CAD 79,000 – 125,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
