About the role
As a SAP Test Lead – Finance Planning & Analytics (SAC), you will make an impact by ensuring high‑quality delivery across critical Finance business processes and SAP Analytical Cloud (SAC) functionalities. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with business SMEs, technical teams, and test managers to enable successful end‑to‑end testing outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Partner with business SMEs to gather requirements and create testing assets, including BDDs, FDDs, TDDs, and mapping documents.
Design and drive test scenarios and test cases across key processes such as Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Record‑to‑Report (RTR), and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Execute functional, system integration, and regression test cases; analyze results; and ensure comprehensive E2E testing.
Support test planning activities, including Test Strategy, Test Plan, and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) creation.
Manage defects end‑to‑end—logging, triaging, retesting, and driving timely closure—using HP ALM, Jira, or ADO.
Provide inputs for daily status reporting and proactively identify risks or issues to the test manager.
Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure timely deliverables across the testing lifecycle.

What you need to have to be considered
7–10+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP Quality Engineering and Finance‑related functional testing roles.
Strong functional and testing experience with SAP Analytical Cloud (SAC).
Expertise in designing test scenarios and cases for P2P, RTR, and FP&A processes.
Deep understanding of SAP data migration concepts, including open transaction migration and validation of migrated objects.
Experience supporting automation teams by translating business requirements into scriptable scenarios.
Hands‑on experience using Jira for defect tracking and stakeholder communication.
Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices, including backlog planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Solid understanding of testing lifecycle, testing artifacts, sandbox environments, and test data creation.
This will help you stand out
Knowledge of AI/ML and generative AI concepts to enhance test data creation and improve testing efficiency.
Experience with automation tools such as UFT, Tosca, or Worksoft.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross‑functional and offshore teams.

Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until April 9th, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $81,513 to $130,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
