About the role
As a QA Automation Engineer with AI, you will make an impact by leading quality assurance efforts for AI‑powered solutions, applying strong automation skills and rigorous testing practices to validate intelligent agent behavior. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and collaborate closely with developers, AI engineers, product owners, and offshore partners to ensure accuracy, reliability, and high‑quality user experiences in AI-driven platforms.
In this role, you will:
• Develop, execute, and analyze automated tests using Selenium, Java, and JavaScript.
• Testing activities within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Validate AI agent outputs, including topic and action accuracy, and iterate based on real‑world interaction patterns.
• Test APIs, integrations, and complex system workflows.
• Generate prompts and leverage Test Center for automated prompt execution.
• Apply strong testing methodologies to ensure robust test coverage.
• Collaborate with teams in an onshore/offshore delivery model.

What you need to have to be considered:
• Minimum 5+ years of overall experience in software QA.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing, executing, and analyzing automation tests using Selenium, Java, and JavaScript.
• Experience testing APIs and data integrations.
• Experience in test automation design and execution.
• Understanding of AI concepts and the non‑deterministic nature of AI testing.
• Ability to validate and test topic/action accuracy, refine results, and ensure realistic user interaction data.
• Experience with prompt generation and leveraging Test Center for prompt execution.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles; experience in SAFe Agile environments.
• Experience working in an onshore/offshore model.
• Experience with Rational Tool Suite, JIRA, or similar test management tools.

• Experience testing customer support or contact center systems.
• Healthcare industry experience.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477– $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
