About the role
As a Clinical & Nurse Consultant – Healthcare Transformation, you will make an impact by helping healthcare providers and health plans redesign and implement clinically informed care delivery models. You will be a valued member of Cognizant Consulting’s Healthcare practice, working collaboratively with clinical leaders, operations teams, and digital and technology stakeholders to improve quality, experience, cost, and outcomes through strategy, transformation, and execution.
In this role, you will
- Assess current‑state clinical operations, care management, and patient/member engagement across provider and payer environments, and design future‑state models of care.
- Lead the redesign of care management, case management, utilization management, and care coordination programs across acute, post‑acute, ambulatory, and community settings.
- Support healthcare organizations in aligning clinical quality, utilization, cost‑of‑care, and population health strategies to drive measurable performance improvement.
- Advise on the implementation and adoption of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and other clinical platforms, including clinician workflow optimization and change management.
- Partner with client executives, clinicians, IT, and operations teams to deliver consulting engagements, manage scope and timelines, and facilitate executive and clinical working sessions.

What you must have to be considered
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active or inactive licensure.
- 5+ years of hands‑on clinical experience in at least one healthcare domain.
- 5+ years of Consulting or advisory experience supporting healthcare transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams across clinical, operational, technology, and change management disciplines.
- Strong client‑facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex clinical and operational concepts to executive and clinical audiences.
These will help you succeed
- Experience redesigning care delivery models, care management programs, or population health initiatives.
- Exposure to EHR or clinical platform implementations and adoption efforts.
- Proven change management experience, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and clinician adoption.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills, with experience producing high‑quality consulting deliverables.
- Prior experience working with healthcare providers, health systems, or health plans in a consulting capacity.

Compensation
$165,000-$194,000
This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
