Job Title: IT Procurement Lead - Hybrid

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Lead to support our client by managing strategic technology vendor relationships and leading contract negotiations across software, hardware, labor, and security services. This role partners closely with the Global VMO and key stakeholders to drive value, optimize spend, and ensure effective contract lifecycle management.

Hybrid

Schedule: M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm EST

1 Year Contract


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic technology vendors supporting Genuine Parts Company.

  • Lead negotiations for a wide range of contracts, including software, hardware, labor, and security agreements.

  • Develop and execute effective contract negotiation strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Partner with the Global VMO team on the implementation and ongoing use of DocuSign CLM.

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, execution, and proactive renewal tracking.

  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities by analyzing and leveraging current spend.

  • Validate utilization and demand with business and IT stakeholders.

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to support cost/benefit analyses.

  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings with strategic vendors on a global scale.

  • Define, document, and continuously improve processes in collaboration with IT VMO team members.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong awareness of the technology landscape and enterprise technology partners.

  • Prior experience with IT contracts, licensing rights, and contract terminology.

  • Proven ability to implement procurement processes and manage multiple contracts in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and added value.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DocuSign CLM, e-Sign, or similar contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Prior experience working with or within a Vendor Management Office (VMO) environment.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $27 up to $32 per hour. Depending on Experience. Applications will be accepted until 3/27th

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
