Join our Risk & Compliance department as an Internal Controller to support our growing operations in Europe.
We are looking for two Internal Controllers to strengthen our Internal Control team:
- One focused on the German & Austrian markets and;
- One focused on the French market.
As our team grows to support Qonto's increasing operational scale, you will play a key role in ensuring our activity runs smoothly and compliantly in these strategic regions. You will join a dynamic team that is strengthening the control foundation for Qonto's operations, working directly with operational teams to maintain high standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
Depending on the market you cover, you will work closely with Kamila (Lead Internal Control) or Ismaël (Lead Internal Control ).
👩💻🧑💻 As an Internal Controller, you will:
• Support Operational Teams: Accompanies operational teams in the implementation of first-level controls, ensuring they are executed effectively and on time;
• Execute Controls: Conduct monthly second-level controls within your scope (Germany/Austria OR France), meeting both quality and quantity imperatives;
• Drive Remediation: Follow up on control recommendations to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively by operational teams and tracked to closure;
• Enhance Frameworks: Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of our internal control framework with a focus on operational processes;
• Collaborate: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders in your target market to identify risks and improve processes.

Kamila or Ismaël. Both managers are dedicated to providing mentorship and guidance to help you establish yourself as the go-to expert for controls in your region.
🏅 About You
• Experience: You have a background in banking, risk, or operational audit functions with hands-on experience in control testing and evaluation, with approximately 2 years of experience;
• Mastery: You excel at implementing and managing internal control frameworks and have a 100% operational mindset;
• Analytical skills: You can identify risks and develop appropriate control measures;
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple concurrent controls efficiently while maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines;
• Communication: You can effectively interact with stakeholders, remaining composed and clear in your feedback.
• Specific Requirements per Role:
- Focus Germany & Austria
Language: Native German is mandatory. Fluency in English is required.
Location: You must be a resident in Germany.
- Focus France
Language: Native French is mandatory. Fluency in English is required.
Location: Paris.
