Join us as a ESG Intern to help drive Qonto's ESG and impact strategy and strengthen our commitments in environmental, social, and governance topics. You'll work on high-visibility projects that directly shape our company's sustainable future, from CSRD compliance to carbon footprint assessments. You will work closely with Federica and Marguerite from our ESG team, contributing to strategic initiatives that impact our 600,000+ customers and support Qonto's mission to become the leading sustainable fintech in Europe.
👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As an ESG Intern at Qonto, you will:
Support ESG projects: Help drive projects and consolidate/analyze data for key ongoing initiatives including compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), building and verifying reported data against requirements, and monitoring ESG KPIs throughout the year
Engage with suppliers on ESG criteria: Support efforts to assess and monitor suppliers with Ecovadis, helping ensure responsible sourcing and procurement practices while contributing to our supply chain sustainability monitoring
Improve ESG policies and procedures: Be a force of proposition for enhancing and monitoring Qonto's ESG-related policies (e.g., circular economy) and procedures to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations through benchmarking
Conduct Qonto's annual carbon assessment: Ensure the scope of activity assessed is coherent with corresponding emission factors attribution and verify there are no omissions in data to be analyzed
Create ESG awareness and training materials: Support internal initiatives for developing training materials and awareness campaigns on ESG practices for employees across different departments

Market/Team Context: Join a dynamic ESG team at a crucial stage of Qonto's growth, working on structural strategic projects with high visibility across the company and direct exposure to top management and board members
Methodologies: We value thorough analysis and structured approaches to ESG challenges. You'll work in a collaborative environment where your ideas and propositions are valued and can directly impact company-wide initiatives
Impact: Drive key initiatives that shape Qonto's sustainable future while developing expertise in the European ESG regulatory framework, data reporting, and KPI monitoring in a fast-paced fintech environment
Tools we use: Work with ESG rating solutions like Ecovadis, data consolidation tools for CSRD compliance, carbon footprint assessment platforms, and various internal systems for monitoring and reporting
Collaboration: Work closely with the ESG & Impact team and collaborate with legal, risk, and growth teams for benchmarking and compliance purposes, plus interaction with external ESG rating providers
🤝 About your future manager
You will report to both Federica (remote) and Marguerite (in-person), who together bring extensive expertise in ESG strategy and regulatory compliance. This dual management approach ensures you receive comprehensive support and diverse perspectives throughout your internship. They foster a supportive learning environment where you'll have the autonomy to contribute meaningfully to projects while receiving guidance to develop your skills in this rapidly evolving field. The team values clear communication, structured thinking, and innovative approaches to sustainability challenges.
🏅 About You
Analytical mindset: You have strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly, with comfort working with KPIs and legal texts related to EU ESG directives
Educational background: You're pursuing studies in engineering, business school, or related fields with coursework in sustainable finance, EU ESG frameworks, environmental topics, or related fields
Curiosity and growth mindset: You demonstrate genuine interest in ESG topics and show initiative in staying updated on evolving sustainability trends and regulations
Communication skills: You can effectively communicate complex ESG concepts to different stakeholders and collaborate across teams with varying levels of ESG expertise
Location: You must be based in France and able to work in a hybrid arrangement in Paris
This is a 6-month internship position.
