⭐ Mission
Join us as a Lead Banking Accountant to spearhead our SAP implementation for banking reconciliation and support Qonto's strategic transition to a full banking license. You'll establish robust banking accounting frameworks enabling us to launch innovative banking products for our 500,000+ customers.
You will work closely with Marjorie, our Head of Accounting and Consolidation, and lead a dynamic team of 2 Financial Settlement Controllers navigating Qonto's evolution into a comprehensive banking platform.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Lead Banking Accountant at Qonto, you will:
- Lead SAP implementation hypercare phase & run for Core Banking System reconciliation, manage unreconciled transaction & suspense account cleanup
- Draft and share accounting schemas with the General Accounting Lead for new banking features, along with Product Managers and Ledger teams, ensuring proper ARE and SAP configuration
- Serve as a banking accounting expert on Banking Standards (PCEC / IFRS 9)
- Manage and develop your 2 Financial Settlement Controllers in banking reconciliation operations while ensuring procedural compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with BO, Ledger, Product, Risk & Compliance, ALM, Treasury, and Regulatory teams

🏅 About You:
- Banking accounting expertise: at least 5 years of experience with accounting standards in the Banking Sector
- SAP systems mastery: Hands-on SAP implementation experience for banking reconciliation (Oracle/NetSuite also considered)
- Operational problem-solving: Excel at debugging reconciliation issues and maintaining operations under pressure
- Cross-functional collaboration: Proven experience with Product Managers and Risk teams, with strong English communication skills
- Team leadership: Experience managing people while maintaining high operational standards in banking environments
