⭐ Mission:
Join us as a Senior FP&A Business Partner - Credit Expert to initiate and coordinate the financial performance management of our new credit activity. You'll be our first credit-specialized FP&A hire, building robust analysis and forecasting models and becoming the key financial business partner for this strategic area.
⚡ Impact:
This role will have significant impact on Qonto's growth trajectory by enabling effective financial management and performance tracking of our credit activity, directly supporting our transformational regulatory transition into Credit Institution. You'll work closely with Marine, our VP Strategic Finance who brings 25 years of experience in various Finance roles within the payment and tech industries; she will support you in implementing this new business line financial framework.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Senior FP&A Business Partner — Credit Expert at Qonto, you will
• Structure the new credit activities performance framework to track offer performance end-to-end and contribute to overall company-wide monitoring and reporting
• Implement regular production and analysis of credit-specific financial indicators (cost of capital, cost of risk, ROE,…)
• Develop robust and reliable forecasting model related for credit business, incorporating multiple scenarios and risk factors
• Establish strong relationships and act as the financial business partner for the credit activities, coordinating with cross-functional scope spanning over Product, Ops, Finance, Risk, and Compliance
• Lead budget and forecast processes for the credit activity, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders
🤔 What you can expect:
• Market/Team Context: You'll be joining at an exciting time as we transition into a Credit Institution, giving you the opportunity to contribute to significant business transformation in a fast-growing fintech environment. You'll work closely with our Risk and Corporate Finance (ALM) teams as primary interlocutors, alongside other functions (e.g Growth and Product teams).
• Methodologies: We value structured analysis and data-driven decision making. You'll have autonomy to implement processes and coordinate in a cross-functional set-up while co-constructing knowledge with your manager. We emphasize upfront planning, quality delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Tools we use: Advanced Excel modeling, financial planning system, and data analysis tools. You'll have the opportunity to enhance our toolkit as we build our credit FP&A capabilities.
• Recent projects: We're currently defining new financial indicators to monitor our credit activities, improving forecasting models, and supporting the broader finance transformation initiatives across Qonto.
🤝 About your future manager/ Head of
Marine brings 25 years of professional experience with a deep focus FP&A and finance transformation activities in the payment and tech industries. She's currently learning Qonto's processes and is excited to co-construct knowledge with you. Her leadership style emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and building expertise within the team. Marine will provide you with the support and guidance needed while giving you the freedom to shape and implement the credit FP&A function.
🏅About You
• Credit Financial Expertise: You have experience with credit/lending metrics and strong financial modeling skills. You understand the fundamentals of loss provisioning, cost of risk calculation, and credit-specific performance indicators.
• Advanced Financial Modeling: You excel at building complex forecasting models with multiple variables and scenarios. You have advanced Excel skills and ideally some experience in building data analysis models.
• Strategic Business Partnering: You have proven experience as a finance business partner with strong communication and presentation skills. You can influence without authority and translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: You have a track record of working effectively across functions, building consensus, and coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ideally including Risk teams.
• Autonomous Leadership: You have 7 to 10 years of experience with increasing autonomy and demonstrated learning agility. You can work independently, take initiative, and quickly learn new domains while ensuring alignment with your manager.
