Our mission

Seven Education (formerly Sdui Group) develops a smart, AI‑powered platform that helps schools and educational institutions work more efficiently. Our products reduce administrative workload, improve communication and enable teachers and leaders to focus on what matters most: learning, growth and people.

As a European EdTech group with 350+ employees, we build intuitive and scalable solutions used widely across the education landscape. Every day, they help create clarity, streamline workflows and strengthen collaboration. We build with courage, ownership and meaningful collaboration - and we stay inspired by the real impact our products create for the people at the heart of education. Our ambition is clear: to become Europe’s leading EdTech brand.

If you want to join that journey and grow with us, we would love to hear from you.

Your mission

As an IT Systems & Security Engineer, you take full operational ownership of core security and infrastructure topics across Seven Education. You ensure that our systems are secure, stable, and compliant - not by coordinating from the sidelines, but by being hands-on where it matters most. In a highly autonomous setup, you reduce security debt, establish clear standards, and create reliability across multiple companies and countries.

What you’ll do

  • Own day-to-day security operations, including vulnerability handling, follow-ups, and patching
  • Maintain, operate, and improve Linux-based systems (e.g. VPN, internal platforms, shared services)
  • Take ownership of MDM and endpoint security (Intune, macOS, Windows, Microsoft Defender)
  • Support and operate Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, including access controls and identity management
  • Reduce security debt and close open findings, especially in the context of ISO 27001
  • Document, standardize, and continuously improve recurring security and infrastructure processes
  • Act as a reliable operational counterpart for engineering, IT, and leadership stakeholders across the group

What you’ll bring

  • Several years (approx. 5+ years) of hands-on experience in system administration, IT infrastructure, or similar roles
  • Strong practical experience with Linux administration and operating production systems
  • Proven experience handling vulnerabilities, patching, and security-related operational tasks
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and Microsoft Defender
  • Confidence in making independent changes in production environments
  • A security-first mindset combined with pragmatic decision-making
  • Clear, structured communication and a high sense of ownership and reliability
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong learning mindset in a changing environment
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Experience with ISO 27001, scripting (Bash or PowerShell), or VPN/DNS/firewall setups is a plus, but not a requirement

Where you’ll be

This role is based in Madrid or Girona and works in a hybrid setup. You combine flexible remote work with regular onsite presence at one of our hubs, as personal exchange is key to how we collaborate, learn and grow together. Being on site supports close teamwork, alignment with Sales and a strong connection to our culture.

What we offer

  • Purpose & Social Impact: Working in education means making a real difference. At Seven Education, you contribute to improving the daily work of schools and shaping the future of education for a better tomorrow.
  • Flexibility & Hybrid Work: We work in a hybrid setup that combines flexibility with collaboration. This includes flexible working hours, the option to work remotely and a regular onsite presence to support teamwork and connection. Working hours are shorter on Fridays.
  • We Take Care of Our People: Your well-being matters to us. In case of sick leave, we cover 100% of your salary from day one.
  • Learning & Development: We support your personal and professional growth through development opportunities, learning initiatives and the chance to grow within an international software group.
  • Team & Collaboration: You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment. We believe great teams are built through trust, connection and shared experiences, and we actively create space for this in everyday work.
  • Ownership & Growth: We combine a start-up mindset with the stability and ambition of a growing European group. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility, contribute your ideas and actively shape our future together.
  • Time Off & Everyday Perks: You receive 23 days of paid vacation per year. Coffee, tea and cold drinks are available in our offices, and we value spending time together beyond day-to-day work.

If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you.
