Upvest’s Investment API is easy to integrate so that fintechs and enterprises alike can save resources and fully focus on their core business.‍

Upvest is one of the few fintechs in Europe that can provide its B2B clients with the full range of investment opportunities in the areas of principal broking business, proprietary trading, and safe custody business for traditional securities. The company was founded in 2017 by Martin Kassing and currently employs more than 180 people across Europe. Its latest €100m fundraising round (Series C) was led by Hedosophia and Sapphire Venture, with continued support from existing investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Motive Ventures, and Notion Capital.

We are based in Berlin and this role is for our Berlin HQ. If you're currently located elsewhere but would like to move to Germany, we’re happy to support your relocation.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Create impact for all Upvengers by ensuring an effective, responsive and caring first-line people service

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve, standardise and automate while ensuring great employee experience and high-quality work.

  • Future-proof and uplift existing people processes, systems and documentation to fit the needs of a growing and international organisation.

  • Showcase your attention to detail while prioritising progression over perfection

  • Find ways to support the team, whether it’s handling direct employee requests, supporting business partners, or covering for your peer when on holiday

  • Find your own focus area (single ownership) while tackling day to day queries that matter to employees as part of a team (shared ownership)

What you bring:

  • Previous experience as an (international) People Operations Partner or HR Generalist

  • Exposure to and interest in international labour laws (especially Germany, Estonia, France, UK, Switzerland)

  • Affinity for international payroll processes

  • Experienced in handling sensitive and privileged (people) data and information

  • Experienced in driving the optimization of (cross-functional) people processes

  • Experience in fast-paced growing organizations

  • Great interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • French language skills and knowledge of French labour law

  • Knowledge of visa application processes

  • Familiarity with our tools: Hibob, Linear, Gaia
