The Team

One of many ways the security team helps keep Yapily safe is by using offensive skill sets to discover our infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, test defences, develop rules and manage tooling to enable visibility and threat hunting within the organisation.

The role

We're looking for individuals with a background in offensive security, network penetration testing, application security and experience testing cloud hosted assets. Experience with exploit development, social engineering and software development are a plus.

You will

• Organise, conduct and report on manual penetration testing and code review of internal web and API applications hosted in a cloud environment( GCP)
• Assess the security posture of cloud environments (GCP, AWS)
• Set up, maintain and improve SAST and DAST tooling as part of the CI/CD pipeline
• Analyse and prioritise results produced by automated SAST and DAST scanning tools
• Provide detailed mitigations for identified security vulnerabilities
• Coordinating vulnerability management and planning together with the security tech lead
• Follow-up(identify/ assess ) on security-related issues beyond specific applications, ie: policy and design/architecture reviews
• Work closely with development teams to identify, mitigate or remediate security vulnerabilities
• Empower developers to do their job securely without creating additional friction
• Educate your fellow engineers about security in application code and infrastructure
• Assist in incident response activities

We would love you to have:

• Experienced in conducting security assessment of cloud based environments, API’s and Web Applications
• Experienced in assessing and securing containerised applications (Docker and Kubernetes security)
• Experienced with GCP or AWS
• Passionate and can demonstrate experience in challenging security assumptions
• Someone who shows a high level of situational and operational awareness
• Experienced and have a good understanding of security issues relating to Identity and access management (IAM)
• Comfortable with modern languages (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, etc.)
• Able to solve difficult problems efficiently
• Experienced in working with a distributed team
• Looking to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment that respects its engineers and customers
